Brodie grew up in Tumut, moving away to study a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Rehabilitation at the University of Wollongong. Before returning to Tumut Brodie practised in a range of health care settings including private practice, cardiology and disability services.
Brodie has always held a strong interest in rehabilitation, exercise and recreation options for people with a disability. Brodie continues to be involved in wheelchair sports as both a volunteer and athlete, playing wheelchair basketball for the Sydney University Flames in the Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League.
Brodie is passionate about delivering high quality care and has been awarded:

- 2023 Business Snowy Valleys Business Awards ‘Employee of the year’
- 2023 Murray-Riverina Business Awards ‘Outstanding Employee’
- 2023 NSW Business Awards ‘Outstanding Employee’ finalist (to be announced, fingers crossed!)
