Brodie Palmer
BExSciRehab, Senior Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Meet our Senior Accredited Exercise Physiologist Brodie Palmer

Brodie grew up in Tumut, moving away to study a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Rehabilitation at the University of Wollongong. Before returning to Tumut Brodie practised in a range of health care settings including private practice, cardiology and disability services.

Brodie has always held a strong interest in rehabilitation, exercise and recreation options for people with a disability. Brodie continues to be involved in wheelchair sports as both a volunteer and athlete, playing wheelchair basketball for the Sydney University Flames in the Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League.

Brodie is passionate about delivering high quality care and has been awarded:

  • 2022 Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network “Promoting Healthy Living’ finalist
  • 2023 Business Snowy Valleys Business Awards ‘Employee of the year’
  • 2023 Murray-Riverina Business Awards ‘Outstanding Employee’
  • 2023 NSW Business Awards ‘Outstanding Employee’ finalist (to be announced, fingers crossed!)
  • Functional strength training for people living with a disability
  • Injury and post surgical rehabilitation
  • Sports specific strength and conditioning, and return to sport journeys
  • Osteoarthritis management and active ageing
  • Wheelchair, adaptive and inclusive sports and recreational activities

When Brodie isn’t playing sport or travelling the country to play wheelchair basketball you can find her getting active swimming, cycling and bushwalking around the local area. Brodie is always up for a new adventure or challenge, and be warned, she loves to share lame jokes and puns.
