Join Our Active Ageing Weekly Group Exercise Sessions

Active Ageing is a weekly exercise group run by local Accredited Exercise Physiologists Emily Carroll & Brodie Palmer. It incorporates strength, balance and flexibility activities to help improve mobility, function and independence.

Active Ageing is an effective treatment modality which enables you to exercise in a safe and supervised environment while enjoying the social aspect of exercising in a group!

Commencing in partnership with Sport Aus and Exercise & Sports Science Australia, Rural Health is proud to continue to run Active Ageing groups for the Snowy Valleys region!

Active Ageing is targeted at people:

Aged over 60 years.
Not currently meeting recommended physical activity guidelines (half an hour of moderate
exercise every day).

Before joining the group come in for an initial assessment and meet and greet – this costs $85 – we will discuss your health history, any injuries or surgeries, your goals, and look at what your fitness and strength is like at the moment. This will establish your baseline so we can measure and monitor your progress! If you have Private Health or Care Plan, bring these on the day to process rebates on the spot.

Following this you can join in on a weekly group – costing $25 per class.
8 week introductory offer (first time participants only) – $150 (including free post assessment)

Includes 8 weekly sessions and post-assessment to see improvements and plan ongoing exercise (new members only, pre-assessment required)
Passes are also available…

10 visit pass – $190, 3 month expiry period ($19 per session)
20 visit pass – $340, 6 month expiry period ($17 per session)
