Active Ageing Centenary!

Blog

This week was a special week for our Active Ageing groups – we hit 100 active members!

We’ve had lots more come and go over the years, but to have 100 local people regularly joining us for Active Ageing each week made us feel pretty special. Recently we asked some of our AA crew what they would say to a friend who was considering joining the groups, here’s some of their responses:

  • “This is a great group for all levels of ability, you can go at your own speed there’s no pressure. It has a friendly atmosphere and everyone makes you feel welcome. I would recommend this group to everyone.” “I find it very beneficial to my flexibility and stamina, especially reaching down into difficult locations in the home and garden. Would highly recommend the exercise classes to everyone and have done so.”
  • “I have never consistently attended gym classes in my life, but since joining in late 2021, I look forward each week to my class on a Friday. Brodie and Emily are such great instructors as they look after each person, willing to adjust an exercise to meet that person’s needs and abilities. Every class is great fun, with clientele there to improve their fitness, flexibility and balance.”
  • “These exercises are for the body and mind! A great group of friendly people, very professionally run, and lots of fun.”

It’s not too late to join in on the fun!
