Rural Health is a team of professional Physiotherapists, Podiatrists and Exercise Physiologists.

We are passionate about finding solutions to the problems that prevent you from enjoying your life to the fullest.

From humble beginnings in 2018 as a sole practitioner Podiatry service with a focus on excellent personal care our team has grown to also offer Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology.

2023 Tumut Basketball Christmas Raffle Donation

We are proud to donate a recovery pack including iron edge micro bands, foam roller, kinesio tape and a reaction ball to help one lucky winner perform at their best! The Tumut Timberwolves Representative Basketball – Mega Christmas Raffle helps raise funds for our local junior representative basketball athletes to compete in the NSW Southern Junior League and other NSW Representative Basketball Competitions for the 2023/24 season.

2023 STEPPING UP FOR PARKINSON’S

2022 Nedd’s Record Run

Nedd Brockmann loves a challenge. And he loves helping others. In 2020 he combined these loves and ran 50 marathons in 50 days – raising just under $100K for the Red Cross to help homeless people.

This year he’s taking it up another notch – a new world record. Nedd intends to break the world record for the fastest crossing of Australia – 100 km a day from Cottesloe Beach to Bondi Beach for 40 days – the equivalent of nearly 100 marathons.

This year, the goal is not just to complete the run but to also raise $1,000,000 for We Are Mobilise and encourage Australians to don their shoes, get moving and join him in hitting the streets across the nation. The biggest mover is an annual rewards scheme offered by The Gym – Tumut to encourage members to achieve their fitness goals in a competitive team environment. This year Rural Health is a proud prize sponsor donating a recovery pack including a Foam Roller & an Iron Edge Pro Band Pack!

2022 Stepping Up for Parkinson’s

You might have seen this legend walking around town over the last month. Barry is Stepping Up for Parkinson’s this May, and has been walking an average of 10kms per day plus attending our Active Ageing groups during the week!
Barry is Stepping Up to help raise funds to allow Parkinson’s NSW to continue its mission to enhance the quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s, their carers and families. Rural Health is proud to support Barry and donate towards a great cause! 2021 Australia Day Throwdown

Hosted by the The McMahon Method in Tumut over the Australia Day long weekend, the regions fittest battled it out in paired tests of strength, endurance and mental resilience. Rural Health was again a proud monetary sponsor of the event.

2021 Country Women’s Association – Mother’s Day Firewood Raffle

The Team donated their time and energy over the weekend cutting and splitting another load of red gum for the Tumut Country Women’s Association Mother’s Day weekend firewood raffle.

​The CWA is the largest women’s organisation in Australia. With a strong involvement in helping the local community, creating a network of support and meeting regularly the CWA is an important group within our region and we’re honoured to be able to support them!

2021 Jeans for Genes

Rural Health was proud to support Jeans for Genes 2021!

Friday the 6th of August we rocked our best denim, ate a blue cake and raised some much needed funds to help find treatments & cures for children born with birth defects or genetic disease.

2021 Heart Foundation

In conjunction with the Gundagai Tigers league tag team Lori & Courtney are running and walking their way to raise funds for research into heart disease.

As part of the Heart Foundation ‘My Marathon’ the team set out to compete 42.2km and raise funds to help fight heart disease.

2021 Footy Colours Day

Footy Colours Day is Fight Cancer Foundation’s national community fundraising event. Participants wear their favourite footy colours to show support for kids with cancer and donate towards keeping up with their education while they receive treatment.

On the 20th of September we proudly donned our colours and donated towards a great cause. A big shout out to Mondays Active Ageing & T2D exercise groups for donating too! Donate Here.

2021 Frontier Charity Golf Day

On November 20th the Dean Family held the annual charity Golf Day and auction to raise awareness and funds for Frontier, the Frontotemporal Dementia Research Group. Husband and father of 3 Stephen Dean was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) – a rare and aggressive form of dementia at 50 years old. Frontier – which operates partly from government funding and from private donors works tirelessly to understand PPA – a rare form of dementia better. This year Rural Health is a proud auction item donor.

2020 Tumut Takes 2 – Aquathon

A Tumut Takes 2 fundraiser organised by Jess Sturt (The Gym – Tumut) and Beck Sutherland the Aquathlon event (run/swim/run) (or walk/paddle/walk) raised money for the local hospital to support the implementation of cardiac rehabilitation in the Tumut region. Rural Health was a proud fund-raising raffle prize sponsor for the event.

2020 Country Women’s Association Firewood Raffle

Courtney (Receptionist) & Evan (Podiatrist) cut, split and donated a 1 ton load of red gum to the Tumut Country Women’s Association which was raffled late 2020. Although it was early summer, the lucky winner has a fully stocked wood shed ready and waiting for winter next year!
